On Saturday 13th June, members and friends of the Caledonian Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club gathered in the historic town of Melrose for a Dandie Dawdle — a leisurely walk in the company of plenty of Dandies.
Meeting in Melrose Market Square at 10.30am, the group set off for a riverside walk following the River Tweed towards Newstead village.
It was a chance to enjoy the Borders countryside, catch up with friends and, most importantly, give the Dandies an opportunity to enjoy a walk together. With the Tweed running alongside much of the route and the countryside around Melrose as a backdrop, there were plenty of opportunities for photographs along the way.
The pictures probably tell the story of the day better than we can — Dandies, their people, a walk beside the Tweed and good company.
